Mailman, mailman do your duty What is up with this shit? Do my family and I have some sort of shit-magnet implanted in our brains? We have this friend, I'll call him Aaron, nice guy but kind of a sucker. Anyway, he has this friend, I'll call him Josh, and he used to bring him over here. He seemed almost okay at first, but a little bit of a loudmouth. One night, however, Josh started talking about how he had served 11 years on an attempted murder charge. This was right after I had the baby, and of course red flags started going up all over the place. We started backing off, and one night he came over drunk and we got a little taste of his temper, at which time he was told to never come back to our house, please. Yesterday Aaron came over. Josh has been living with him and his (Aaron's) brother, I'll call him Mike, for the past few months, because of rent considerations. However, I guess the night before Josh had freaked out because Aaron's five-year-old daughter has been having sleep issues, and was crying. Josh was screaming in the little girl's face to shut the fuck up, and he had a big knife in his back pocket. Screaming in the little girl's face. Now there is a logical thing to do. So Aaron needs to get the hell out of that house, because he can't afford to be there if he kicks Josh out, and it obviously isn't a place where his daughter can be. The sad thing is that Mike has partial custody of a little son, and the sadder thing is that Josh has a little 3-year-old son, too. We offered Aaron a place to stay, be we are scared that maybe Josh will come over here looking for him, because I guess now Josh's wife is threatening to leave him and Josh blames Aaron. We need to move the fuck away from all these people. Not that there aren't crazies in my home town. Hell, I have murder suspects in my own family. But we can start all over again, and never talk to anybody. The little girls came over yesterday to ask if the baby could come out to play. It was the cutest thing. Juniper was sleeping, though, so they had to come back later. The way things are going, I think I'm going to stick to hanging out with little girls. They don't threaten to kill you or anything. |
