sushi-rific In an effort to decrease our sushi bill (which in this house is 100% MY FAULT), I rolled my own for the first time today. The only slightly difficult part is getting it tight enough so that the filling doesn't plop out, but I think I did a pretty good job, for a first-timer. Of course, I don't have the guts or means to go purchase sushi-grade fish, but the avocado, carrot, and cucumber rolls definitely go a long way towards satisfying my sushi jones, at a fraction of the restaurant price and without the complaining husband ("Don't you have any fried chicken?") to boot. I ate two of the aforementioned rolls in the span of about 7 minutes. SUSHI! It's been so long! If I could take it intervenously, I would. |
